About the Role

The primary purpose of the Software Developer position is playing a key role in the design, installation, testing and maintenance of software systems built on Odoo. The programs created are designed to help our customers businesses be more efficient and provide better service to their customers.

This role involves working between two key business areas to build a customised Odoo solution to service the internal business. It is an exciting and strategic project that will involve working with multiple stakeholders, excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to influence change.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Understanding and scoping our internal requirements
  • Designing and coding tailored solutions using Odoo
  • Testing and deploying software and using CI/CD pipelines
  • Scoping, developing, testing and implementing modifications and applications as required
  • Training internal staff in the effective use of the Odoo system
  • Providing technical advice / support to the internal support team or customers as required to assist with resolving customer issues.

Your Abilities:

The following mandatory experience is required:

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in Odoo Development or using Odoo
  • Tertiary or Diploma qualification in Business and / or Information Technology
  • 2+ years’ experience in a Development role
  • Good understanding of relational database concepts, including normalisation and efficient modelling of data
  • Familiarity with Git, Linux and experience developing applications in Python

The following technical skills would be an advantage:

  • PostgreSQL knowledge
  • Experience with Python ORMs
  • Experience with Javascript
  • Data management, analytics and data processing experience

  • Proven ability to work with internal stakeholders
  • Logical thinker and a quick learner
  • Accounting concepts understanding
  • Able to work efficiently within a team environment

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
